BeamLap is privately operated in the Republic of Korea. This Policy explains how BeamLap handles data when Online mode is used.

1. Offline and Online modes

BeamLap starts in Offline mode. Offline mode does not send data to BeamLap.

Before Online mode is first enabled, BeamLap explains that data will be sent to the service and asks for confirmation. Records saved while Offline may be submitted when Online mode is enabled later.

2. Data we receive

Online mode may send BeamLap:

  • a BeamLap-generated identifier used to associate records with the same player;
  • the display name;
  • course, lap-time, vehicle, and setup information;
  • driving telemetry used for record validation, replay, and analysis;
  • game and BeamLap version information; and
  • server logs, including timestamps and IP addresses.

BeamLap uses this data to process and validate records, operate leaderboards, provide driving analysis, prevent abuse, and maintain the service.

Public records may include the display name, course, lap time, vehicle, replay, validation status, and driving analysis. Internal identifiers and server logs are not public.

3. Retention and deletion

Valid public records and their replays are retained while they are maintained by BeamLap.

Invalid records stored by the service are deleted after 30 days. Server and access logs are retained for up to 30 days.

Users may request deletion of their data. Data whose retention period has ended or whose deletion request has been accepted is removed from the service.

4. User choices and rights

BeamLap does not use advertising or analytics and does not sell personal data.

The website does not require an account and does not use tracking cookies or external tracking software.

Users may request access, correction, or deletion of their data by contacting [email protected]. BeamLap may request information necessary to verify that the request relates to the relevant records.

Online mode is for users aged 14 or older.

5. Data protection

BeamLap uses technical and administrative measures appropriate to the service to protect transmitted and stored data.

6. Changes and contact

This Policy may be updated as BeamLap changes. The current version is published on this page.
